Mr.
Drimer is a successful entrepreneur and business development expert
with extensive experience in building management and technical teams.
He is the President and CEO of Genesis International Group and has been
responsible for more than $500 million in transactions over the last
40-years. Throughout his career, Walter has founded several companies
and new ventures in both the for-profit and not-for-profit arenas,
including Genesis Search Group, Inc., an executive search company
specializing in biotech and health care; Innovation Plus LLC, a smart
fastener technology company; and American Private Investors Group, an
angels club that matches entrepreneurs with private investors. Walter’s
most recent project was the cofounding of Bright Source Energy/LUZ II,
a solar energy and clean fuel technology enterprise. Bright Source
recently completed its C-round of funding for a total of more than $160
million.
Mr. Julien Meissonnier, MSc, MBA -- President and Chief Executive Officer Mr.
Meissonnier has 20 years of international business experience in
product development, marketing, business development, consulting,
financial and general management. He is the founder/manager of R.O.I.
Consulting,a business development consulting company. From 2001 to
2008, he was responsible for business development at Evogene, an
agro-biotechnology company. The company valuation rose from $1 to over
$100 million, went public on the Tel Aviv stock exchange and signed
agreements with the global leaders in the field. He also served as CFO
of Pigmentan, a specialty chemicals company and as Business Development
Manager with Sol-Gel Technologies, a start-up that signed a strategic
agreement with Merck KGaA. Prior to immigrating to Israel, he was
Global Marketing Manager at Ciba-Geigy/Novartis in Switzerland for a
$200 million product line. Early in his career, he held product
development and technical customer service positions in France and the
USA at Rhone-Poulenc. Mr. Meissonnier holds a Diplôme
D'Ingenieur in Physics of Materials from the INSA Lyon, an MSE
(Chemical Engineering) from the University of Washington, Seattle, and
an MBA from INSEAD, France.
Dr. Harvey Kasdan, PhD -- Chief Technology Officer Dr.
Kasdan has more than 25 years of experience in medical device
development as Director of Product Development, VP R&D and Chief
Scientist of IRIS International in California. Dr. Kasdan drove several
medical devices from concept to market launches and prepared four 510K
FDA submissions that resulted in market launches of products currently
generating over $60 million in annual revenues. He is the inventor or
co-inventor on 25 patents, and has published over 40 publications. Dr.
Kasdan holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT and a
PhD in Engineering from UCLA.
Dr. Marvin Slepian, MD -- Chief Medical Officer and Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board Dr.
Slepian is a Professor of Medicine (Cardiology), Director of
Interventional Cardiology and Director of the Tissue Engineering Lab at
the University of Arizona. Dr. Slepian completed his medicine training
at NYU-Bellevue in New York, and his cardiology training at Johns
Hopkins where he was a Clinical and Research Fellow. He completed a
fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr.
Slepian has conducted extensive research, authoring more than 150
publications, development and pre-clinical investigation of novel
cardiovascular therapeutic methods and devices, and is the holder of
over 25 issued and 41 filed patents. He is an expert in polymeric
biomaterials and local drug delivery. Dr. Slepian was instrumental in
the formation of SynCardia Systems, maker of the CardioWestTM
Temporary Total Artificial Heart and serves as its Chairman. Dr.
Slepian has founded and/or served as acting CEO and Board Member in
numerous medical device companies including Focal (NASDAQ-traded,
acquired by Genzyme), Endotex, Angiotrax, and Hansen Medical. Dr.
Slepian earned his BA in Biochemical Sciences and Science in Human
Affairs from Princeton University, his MD from the University of
Cincinnati, College of Medicine, and received post-doctoral training at
MIT and Washington University.
Dr. Menashe Rajuan, PhD -- Chief Operating Officer Dr.
Rajuan has a broad background in physics, chemistry and engineering.
Recently, he served as COO of HoloOr, a company producing advanced
optical lenses based on diffractive optics. He was responsible for new
products and processes, process engineering, production, QA & QC,
maintenance and safety. He is the founder of R2M, a consulting firm
focused on operational and business development with a focus on the
transfer of products from R&D to manufacturing. Previously Dr.
Rajuan served as COO of Sol-Gel Technologies, a developer of advanced
chemical and pharmaceutical products for cosmetics and drug delivery,
Senior R&D Engineer at AVX, a producer of passive electronic
components, and Project and Application Manager at Electric Fuel Ltd.,
a developer of electric vehicles based on zinc-air batteries. He has
also worked for Israel's Ministry of Defense. Dr. Rajuan holds a BSc in
Physics and Mathematics, an MSc in Physical Chemistry and a PhD in
Chemistry (Molecular Dynamics) all from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
He also holds a diploma in Energy Studies from Tel Aviv University and
additional certification in Software Engineering from IBM.
Ms. Mika Sullivan – Business Development and Office Manager
Ms. Sullivan
experience working in positions of increasing responsibility in business
development, grant writing, office management and more. She served as Director
of Research and Marketing and Office Manager at Genesis Group International
before joining CardioVentures and LeukoDx. She has written grants, business
plans and managed website content as a freelancer and an employee in the
for-profit and non-profit sectors. She graduated magna cum laude and with
honors from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a BSc
in Business Administration and International Management.
